Wan'Dale Robinson, Tucker Kraft, Rashid Shaheed: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 5

Wan'Dale Robinson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Should I start Wan'Dale Robinson, Tucker Kraft, or Rashid Shaheed for Week 5? Fantasy football start em, sit em picks and recommendations for the 2024 NFL season.

You may have added the top player available on waivers and pulled off a trade or two this week, but there is still much to be done to get a win in Week 5. Most importantly, you will have to set the correct lineup, and that means making the right last-minute start 'em, sit 'em calls.

Fantasy managers everywhere are wondering if they should be starting Wan'Dale Robinson, Tucker Kraft, or Rashid Shaheed this week. All three of these players have been surprisingly productive through the first four weeks of the season but it's fair to question whether or not this can continue.

Should Robinson, Kraft, or Shaheed make their way into your lineup this week? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Wan'Dale Robinson for Fantasy Football?

Although his talent was never in doubt, it has been shocking to see Malik Nabers earn the most targets in the NFL this year as part of an inefficient Giants offense. Even more astonishing, however, is that teammate Wan'Dale Robinson is currently the fourth-most targeted player in the league.

Robinson has garnered at least eight targets in three of four contests this season. Last week, he saw a career-high 14 passes thrown his way. Quarterback Daniel Jones has been completely locked in on Nabers and Robinson with the duo accounting for over 66% of the team's targets.

Because of this, Robinson deserves weekly flex consideration, but fantasy gamers understand that his ceiling is capped playing in a bad offense with one of the most electric rookie wideouts we've ever seen ahead of him in the team's pecking order. The situation is different on Sunday, though.

Without Nabers on the field, Robinson will operate as Jones' favorite weapon against the Seattle Seahawks. On paper, the Seahawks have been fairly stingy against opposing wideouts through the first four weeks, but a quick look at their schedule will show you that they weren't truly tested until Week 4. Last Monday night, Seattle surrendered 299 passing yards and three receiving touchdowns to the Detroit Lions.

While New York's offense is a far cry from that of Detroit's, Seattle is not a defense that must be avoided at all costs for fantasy purposes. Robinson should see a heavy dose of opportunities this week, which is why he comes in as the WR30 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Tucker Kraft for Fantasy Football?

To start the 2023 campaign, Luke Musgrave appeared to be the top tight end in Green Bay. He unfortunately went down with an injury later in the season, opening the door for Tucker Kraft to emerge. Both were rookies last year, but it's been made obvious in 2024 that Kraft is the preferred pass-catcher of the two.

In Week 4, Kraft turned nine targets into six receptions for 53 yards and a score with Jordan Love back under center. On Sunday, he'll face the Los Angeles Rams, who have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends.

If the favorable matchup wasn't enough, Kraft could be in line for an expanded role in Green Bay's offense. Christian Watson is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest with an ankle injury and Romeo Doubs is facing a one-game suspension.

Although Kraft has seemingly established himself ahead of Musgrave, the latter's presence makes it a little difficult to project Kraft for consistent utilization, but even this obstacle is one Kraft will likely avoid this week.

Kraft should be viewed as the third option in the passing game behind receivers Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks. There are plenty of fantasy points to go around in Green Bay with the Packers averaging 410 offensive yards and 26 points per game. Given the current landscape of the tight end position, Kraft is essentially a must-start in Week 5 as the TE7 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Rashid Shaheed for Fantasy Football?

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed got off to a scorching hot start to begin the season but was completely silent with zero receptions in Week 3. He bounced back last week with 11 targets and eight receptions, both career-highs, for 83 yards.

The 26-year-old will be challenged in Week 5 by a stout Kansas City Chiefs defense. The Chiefs are giving up the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing receivers. For Shaheed, however, all it takes is one play. He has quickly become one of the most prolific downfield threats in the NFL.

The Chiefs are 5.5-point favorites at home on Monday night, so we can probably expect the Saints to trail at some point in the contest. Furthermore, the Chiefs have been even better at defending the run than the pass.

Quarterback Derek Carr will have to air it out if New Orleans hopes to make this a competitive game, making both Chris Olave and Shaheed necessary. Assuming Kansas City focuses its attention on stopping Olave and the running game led by Alvin Kamara, Shaheed could break free for a big play at any moment.

He is a high-upside WR3 or flex asset as the WR33 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
