CFB DFS Rankings for Week 4 - Daily Fantasy College Football (Saturday, 9/21/24)

TreVeyon Henderson - CFB, NCAAF, Running Back, DFS, Draft Prospects

Brad's CFB DFS rankings for Week 4 on 9/21/24. His daily fantasy college football rankings for QBs, RBs, and WRs and the DFS slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.

For the first time this year in College Football DFS, it feels like the entire slate is perhaps mispriced, which is going to lead to a ton of overlap in lineup builds. With Ollie Gordon II also having a bit of a slow start to the year, there will not be a ton of usage at the top of the board, meaning all the plays will come from the middle of the pricing charts.

This should help for cash games as the field is going to be bunched up on a few plays, but it will be key to differentiate yourself at a few places in GPPs. As I mentioned above, the top of the pricing board this week is unlikely to see heavy plays, so taking a top-end play and avoiding some of the middle-of-the-pack plays will be vital.

In this article below, you will find my CFB DFS lineup picks for Week 4 (Saturday, September 21) via my positional college football rankings. Use these CFB DFS rankings when building daily fantasy college football on DraftKings, and be sure to read the rest of our CFB DFS articles and CFB betting articles as well. Good luck, RotoBallers!

CFB DFS Quarterback Rankings

QB Cash Rankings Per $ QB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Taylen Green 1 Taylen Green
2 Haynes King 2 Kyron Drones
3 Riley Leonard 3 Will Howard
4 Kyron Drones 4 Behren Morton
5 Garrett Nussmeier 5 Riley Leonard
6 Garrett Greene 6 Haynes King
7 Will Howard 7 Cade Klubnik
8 Sam Leavitt 8 Garrett Nussmeier
9 Behren Morton 9 Sam Leavitt
10 Blake Shapen 10 Cam Rising

As we spoke about above, everyone on this list feels as if they are underpriced by roughly $1,000. In cash games, the only distinction between the top-4 cash-game plays is that they all feel safer due to their reliance on their legs. All four could easily hit value on rushing alone this week.

In GPPs, again there are simply a ton of safe options that are just underpriced. That said, plays like Behren Morton and Sam Leavitt in what could be a back-and-forth affair seem like nice contrarian options. If you are feeling extra frisky, Cam Rising is always a candidate to leave the game early, but his five-touchdown half in the opening game shows his massive upside.

CFB DFS Running Back Rankings

RB Cash Rankings Per $ RB GPP Rankings Per $
1 Bhayshul Tuten 1 Caden Durham
2 Kyle Monangai 2 Kyle Monangai
3 Caden Durham 3 CJ Donaldson Jr.
4 CJ Donaldson Jr. 4 Ja'Quinden Jackson
5 Cam Skattebo 5 Ollie Gordon II
6 Ja'Quinden Jackson 6 Bhayshul Tuten
7 Jeremiyah Love 7 Cam Skattebo
8 Corey Kiner 8 Jeremiyah Love
9 Tahj Brooks 9 Tahj Brooks
10 Ollie Gordon II 10 Kalel Mullings

You know the week is full of great running back plays when superstar Ollie Gordon II barely cracks the list! Expect Caden Durham and CJ Donaldson Jr. to be highly owned, as rostering one of them unlocks the rest of your team to pick high-end guys at the other spots.

In GPPs, I think Gordon is a strong play in that he is coming off a bad performance and is the highest-priced back on the slate by a good margin. He will be too low-owned for a player of his talent. Also, a player like Kalel Mullings is interesting as he shares the workload but gets a plus matchup against USC.

CFB DFS Wide Receiver Rankings

WR Cash Rankings Per $ WR GPP Rankings Per $
1 Jeremiah Smith 1 Andrew Armstrong
2 Andrew Armstrong 2 Jeremiah Smith
3 Brennan Presley 3 Xzavier Henerson
4 Kyren Lacy 4 Josh Kelly
5 Xzavier Henderson 5 De'Zhaun Stribling
6 Aaron Anderson 6 Brennan Presley
7 Kevin Coleman Jr. 7 Aaron Anderson
8 Malik Rutherford 8 Kevin Coleman Jr.
9 Coy Eakin 9 Malik Rutherford
10 Ja'Corey Brooks 10 Ja'Corey Brooks

Wide receiver is likely the place you will want to spend toward the top of the price charts this week. Jeremiah Smith has been an absolute monster, while Andrew Armstrong's target share is simply too hard to pass up in cash games.

In GPPs, there are several viable options, depending on your quarterback. Aaron Anderson has been a nice target for Garrett Nussmeier at LSU and is still cheap, while Malik Rutherford has the upside to put up a GPP-winning score paired with Haynes King.
