Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) seemed to have been dealing with an ongoing hamstring injury that kept him limited in Wednesday's practice.

With this injury appearing late in the practice week, this can certainly cause panic. Especially with this being a lingering hamstring injury, this has created additional concern for fantasy football managers.

Will Kyle Pitts Play In Week 1?

UPDATE: Pitts is officially active for Week 1

Pitts (hamstring) has indicated that he anticipates being fully healthy for Sunday's season opener against the Steelers, even though he was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.

A Week 1 return for Chubb seems unlikely given the severity of his injury and the typical timetable for knee ligament injuries. However, the Browns haven't ruled it out just yet. The team is leaving the door open for Chubb to suit up against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.

Pitts mentioned that his limitations during Wednesday's practice are expected to only result in missing a play or two, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com. When questioned about any concerns regarding Pitts' Week 1 status, head coach Raheem Morris didn't seem too concerned.

Pitts also took matters into his own hands and posted on X that he would be ready to go for Sunday.

 

Kyle Pitts 2024 Fantasy Outlook

Kyle Pitts is poised for a standout fantasy football season this year with Kirk Cousins now at quarterback. Cousins' track record of targeting tight ends and his ability to deliver accurate passes should significantly boost Pitts' production.

Given Pitts' athleticism and route-running skills, he could see an uptick in targets and red-zone opportunities, making him a high-upside play in fantasy leagues.

Pitts will have just a couple more opportunities to fully participate in practice. Even if he carries an injury designation into the weekend, fantasy managers should feel confident in his ability to play on Sunday.

With Kirk Cousins now under center, Pitts could be set for a breakout season, benefiting from the best quarterback play of his four-year career.
