Coby Mayo is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 9 (2024). Target Coby Mayo as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in All Leagues
CALL-UP ETA: June
ANALYSIS: Baltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo has been one of the best power hitters in the minor leagues this season and is quickly approaching his major league debut.
Through 42 games with Triple-A Norfolk, Mayo has posted a .291/.359/.605 line with 13 long balls, 37 RBI, and three stolen bases.

While his 17:53 BB:K ratio may be high, this has been his best power season in the minor leagues. The 22-year-old tallied only 12 home runs through 62 games at Triple-A last season, a feat that he has already surpassed in just under two months of play this season.
However, the Orioles do have a bit of an infield logjam, which has delayed Mayo’s promotion. Jordan Westburg and Jorge Mateo currently man third and second base, but if the Orioles are looking to add another impact bat to the lineup, Westburg could find a permanent home at the keystone, opening the hot corner for Mayo.
Mayo should remain a must-stash player in all formats simply due to his high-upside power.
