James Cook's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 11 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit James Cook for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Buffalo Bills running back James Cook had his second 100-yard rushing game of the season in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos, carrying the ball 12 times for 109 yards and also adding two receptions for 11 yards. The one mark against him was a pair of fumbles.
This now makes four times in the past five games that Cook has at least 70 yards from scrimmage. It hasn't been a breakout campaign for the second-year back out of Georgia, but he's played good football.
If Cook was finding the end zone, he might be an RB1 play, but the Bills just haven't been giving him the football in the red zone. He's scored just twice this year, with one of those coming through the air. The only rushing score was a one-yard touchdown back on Oct. 1.
Mostly though, the Bills keep giving the ball to Latavius Murray down there or let Josh Allen keep it himself. Those two have combined for 10 rushing scores.
The lack of scoring upside knocks Cook down to the RB2 tier, but his quickness and the productivity we've seen from him over the past month or so still make him worth playing in a 10-team league, even if you're unlikely to get a touchdown from him unless he can break off a big play.
