Week 7 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Luther Burden III, Tyler Allgeier, Darnell Mooney in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
The Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears both won on Monday Night Football in Week 7.
The Bears fought a back-and-forth battle against the Washington Commanders and came out on top, 25-24, while Luther Burden III led the team in receptions with four for 51 yards. The Falcons took an early lead over the favored Buffalo Bills on a Tyler Allgeier touchdown and never let up.
With the contributions Burden and Allgeier made to their teams' victories, plus with Darnell Mooney returning from injury to add more firepower to the Falcons, many managers are thinking about adding these players to their fantasy teams. Is that a good idea? Let's take a look.

Luther Burden III Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups

When the Chicago Bears selected Burden with the 39th pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, analysts were excited about the prospects for the Chicago Bears to construct a high-powered offense with many first- and second-year pass catchers.
In his three years at Missouri, Burden accumulated 2,497 yards from scrimmage and scored 26 touchdowns. There was no doubt about his abilities. He created separation off the snap and pulled in contested catches. He still needs to work on beating press coverage.

Burden showed off his strong YAC ability in the Bears' victory over the Commanders on Monday Night. He gained 36 of his 51 yards after the catch. In Week 3, he scorched the Dallas Cowboys for 101 yards on three catches, including 38 yards after the catch.
Burden's production in the NFL has been slow to take off. Bears' rookies have had a hard time overtaking veterans like Rome Odunze, D.J. Moore, and even Olamide Zaccheaus, who are the team's top three pass catchers through six weeks.
In three of the first four weeks, Burden gained fewer than ten yards. In fact, he went negative in Weeks 1 and 4.
He has yet to start a game, but his offensive snap share is increasing. He ran between 11 and 13 routes in the past two games after running just 5 and 9 routes in Weeks 2 and 3. However, that's still a lot less than Odunze and Moore, who routinely run over 30 snaps per game.
At the same time, Burden's offensive playing time may be limited by the fact that he is still being utilized on punt returns and special teams. Burden's best chance for getting more playing time would be for an injury to occur to one of the starters or for him to improve enough to overtake Zaccheaus.
Tyler Allgeier Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups

For the second straight game, Allgeier had ten or more carries and scored a touchdown. Allgeier is the team's leading Red Zone back. He has one more carry than Bijan Robinson inside the 20 and twice as many carries as Robinson inside the 10.

Robinson is the clear RB1 in Atlanta as long as he is healthy. He ran for 170 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries on Monday Night. There's no chance of him losing his job as long as he keeps playing like this.
But Robinson has only carried the ball more than 20 times once this season. That was in Week 2, when he ran the ball 22 times against the Minnesota Vikings. In every other game, Robinson ran the ball between 12 and 19 times. Robinson is also getting by far the most usage in the passing game.
Robinson has 24 catches for 338 yards and a touchdown, while Allgeier has only three catches for 10 yards. Allgeier, however, still holds value as a backup in leagues with 12 teams and as a flex in leagues with 14 teams.
Darnell Mooney Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups

Mooney gained nearly 1,000 receiving yards last season, his first in Atlanta. He had two 100-yard games and surpassed 80 yards in seven games. He finished as the WR27, which was a huge jump from his WR83 finish the year before.
Mooney's high volume was impacted in part by an injury to Drake London, which kept London out from Week 7 until the end of the season. But Mooney still had some big games, including a 9-105-2 effort against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while London was on the field.

While Mooney is a below-average WR2, he doesn't face much competition for the role. The Falcons' WR3 and WR4 are Casey Washington and Ray-Ray McCloud III.
However, being the WR2 on the Falcons is not a very productive role. The Falcons throw the ball at the fifth-lowest per-play rate in the league. Moreover, Michael Penix Jr. has been inconsistent as a passer.
Mooney has missed all or parts of the past two games, as he injured his hamstring against the Commanders in Week 4 and then was unable to suit up in Week 6, even after resting during the bye in Week 5.
Coach Raheem Morris has said Mooney is day-to-day, so managers will have to watch the practice report to know if he'll be back in Week 7. If he can get into a rhythm after returning, Mooney is a potential flex starter in 12- or 14-team leagues.
