1 year agoChicago White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada (back), who didn't play on Monday due to a sore back, is unlikely to return for the series against the Minnesota Twins this week. The White Sox conclude their series against Minnesota on Wednesday and then have an off day on Friday, so hopefully Moncada will be good to go on Friday. Hanser Alberto got the start at the hot corner in Moncada's absence on Monday, and he and Jake Burger could split playing time at the position until Moncada is ready to return to the lineup. Injuries wiped out the 27-year-old's 2022 campaign, so fantasy managers can't like the fact that he's already dealing with some nagging ailments. He's gone 12-for-39 (.308) with four doubles, two home runs, five RBI and four runs in his first nine games in 2023.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
