DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/6/23): NBA DFS Lineups

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder

We're poised for an eight-game Monday night slate that features four games with projected totals of over 230 points and five games with spreads of 6.5 points or less. There are also a pair of contests with double-digit favorites, but we should still have plenty of players logging heavy minutes.

While there are some big-name players still out due to injury and the key components of the big Kyrie Irving trade won't be in action for their new teams, the player pool is robust with 16 clubs in action.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the respective main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/6/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG/SG, OKC at GSW ($10,700 DK, $10,400 FD)

Gilgeous-Alexander's latest highlight in a season full of them was his 66-DK/70.8-FD-point tally against the Rockets on Saturday night that once again served as a reminder of his serious candidacy for MVP honors. The fifth-year star now faces a Warriors team he just lit up for 50.5 DK/50.3 FD points three games ago and that will be short-handed in the backcourt with Stephen Curry (lower leg) beginning what is expected to be an extended absence.

Golden State is already allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (28.7), along with over 50 fantasy points per game to the position on either site. The Warriors have been even more generous lately while surrendering over 58 DK and over 56 FD points per game to the position in the last seven contests, and the defending champs are even surrendering an elevated 27.7 assists per game over the last three.

Donovan Mitchell - PG/SG, CLE at WAS ($8,300 DK, $8,100 FD)

Mitchell's salaries are a bargain considering his upside, but they've come down recently due to some of his more "ordinary" performances. The sharpshooting two-guard nevertheless has 14 tallies of over 50 DK points and 11 of at least 50 on FD as well, and he's actually been at his most productive on the road with averages of 27.9 points, 4.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals across 21 games. Monday, he gets a crack at a Wizards team he touched up for 56.8 DK/55 FD points in his one prior meeting with them this season.

Washington is yielding over 44 DK and over 43 FD points per game to two-guards in the last 15 contests, and the Wizards have also conceded 39.1 percent three-point shooting to the position for the season. Meanwhile, Mitchell is shooting a career-best 38.7 percent from three-point range on a robust 9.4 three-point attempts per contest and has already proven amply capable of overdelivering on his current salaries.

Cam Thomas - PG/SG, BKN vs. LAC ($5,000 DK, $6,000 FD)

Thomas is undoubtedly going to be immensely popular Monday, as a perfect storm of factors will make him especially appealing. The second-year guard just went off for 44 points against the Wizards on Saturday night, a performance that netted 59 DK/54.7 FD points across just 29 minutes. Thomas' salaries not only remain extremely reasonable Monday but he should also be set for another spot start with Kyrie Irving now out of town and replacement acquisition Spencer Dinwiddie not expected to be available.

Thomas owns a 27.5 percent usage rate and averages 36.4 DK/35 FD points per 36 minutes without Irving and Kevin Durant (knee) on the floor this season, and his upside is above question after the performance he just put together Saturday. Additionally, the Clippers have allowed over 48 fantasy points per game on either site to point guards on the season, and Los Angeles is also allowing an elevated 38.1 percent three-point shooting on the road this season.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jordan Poole - PG/SG, GSW vs. OKC ($6,200 DK, $7,400 FD); Malaki Branham - PG/SG, SAS at CHI ($4,500 DK, $4,800 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum - SF/PF, BOS at DET ($11,000 DK, $10,800 FD)

Tatum and the rest of his teammates turned in a disappointing performance against the Suns on Friday night, with the star forward especially struggling with a 3-for-15 showing from the field. However, Tatum had averaged over 55 fantasy points on either site over the previous eight games, and Monday, he should be in a good position to offer a strong return against a Pistons team he already produced 67.5 DK/62.5 FD points against in one of two prior meetings this season.

Detroit is a good positional target, as the Pistons are surrendering 47 DK points per game to power forwards, along with 49.0 percent shooting to the position overall. Additionally, the Pistons are ranked in the bottom half of the league in assists (25.7) and rebounds (52.5) allowed per contest, giving Tatum multiple paths to fantasy success.

Zach LaVine - SF/SG, CHI vs. SAS ($8,100 DK, $7,600 FD)

LaVine has had a couple of modest performances in recent games, but he's been mostly dominant for the last month while averaging 26.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.2 steals in 14 games dating back to January 6. The star wing is coming off an especially impressive 36-point showing versus the Trail Blazers on Saturday night, and he now draws a very beatable matchup against a Spurs squad that's been one of the league's most porous teams defensively all season.

The Spurs are allowing an NBA-high 122.5 points per game and NBA-high 42.7 percent three-point shooting on the road as well. San Antonio has also yielded the fifth-highest offensive efficiency rating to two-guards (25.1) and the second-most DK (45.6) and third-most FD (47.1) points per game to the position on the season as well. LaVine has been at his most effective from distance at home (38.7 percent three-point shooting), furthering his case.

Draymond Green - PF/C, GSW vs. OKC ($6,400 DK, $7,400 FD)

Green is one of several Warriors that will be in a position to benefit from the absence of Stephen Curry (lower leg) in the form of extra usage, and he already checks into Monday's battle averaging over 35 fantasy points over his last 11 games. Green is shooting an especially sharp 53.6 percent, including 38.1 percent from behind the arc, in that span, and he just put up 38.8 DK/FD points versus this same Thunder squad Monday.

Green is averaging 33 DK/32.3 FD points per 36 minutes with Curry off the floor this season, and the Thunder also check in allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to power forwards (27.8). OKC has also given up over 47 DK and over 45 FD points per game to the position, and no team has given up more rebounds per road game than the Thunder's 56.9 per contest.

ALSO CONSIDER: Klay Thompson - SF/SG, GSW vs. OKC ($7,000 DK, $7,600 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kristaps Porzingis - C/PF, WAS vs. CLE ($9,600 DK, $9,400 FD)

Porzingis checks into Monday with back-to-back standout efforts, having posted 32 and 38 points against the Trail Blazers and Nets, respectively. Those performances each netted over 50 DK points, and the big man also generated 54.3 against the Spurs three games ago. Meanwhile, over on FD, Porzingis has netted 48 to 60.3 fantasy points in that same span, making him a very intriguing option again Monday despite his elevated salaries.

Cleveland has given up over 48 DK and over 45 FD points to power forwards over the last 15 games, while Porzingis has been a much more productive scorer at home overall with 24.1 points per game and stellar 45.2 percent three-point shooting. In turn, the Cavs are tied for the fourth-highest three-point shooting percentage allowed on the road (38.1). Finally, consider Porzingis averages 48.8 DK/48.9 FD points per 36 minutes with Kyle Kuzma off the floor, and the latter will miss Monday's game with an ankle injury.

Alperen Sengun - C, HOU vs. SAC ($8,600 DK, $8,000 FD)

Sengun's breakout sophomore campaign most recently includes an 11-game stretch where he averaged over 45 fantasy points on the strength of 18.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per contest. While the hot streak was snapped Saturday night against the Thunder due to the young big only playing 15 minutes as a result of foul trouble, the diverse line exemplifies how valuable a fantasy asset Sengun can be.

He'll now get another shot at a Kings squad where he posted 38/43 DK points and 38/39.7 FD points in two recent encounters. Sacramento also checks in allowing 54 DK and over 52 FD points per game to centers over the last 15 games, along with conceding considerably more rebounds per road game (53.0) than at home (47.1).

Brook Lopez - C/PF, MIL at POR ($5,800 DK, $6,200 FD)

Lopez's salaries often fail to account for his significant upside, which includes 27 performances apiece of over 30 DK and FD points. The veteran big man even has eclipsed 50 fantasy points twice on either site, and he walks into a premium matchup Monday night versus a Trail Blazers team that he already put up 34.5 DK/38.8 FD points against in his one previous encounter with this season and that will once again be missing Jusuf Nurkic due to his calf injury.

Portland already checks in surrendering the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.4), along with 61.6 DK/59.8 FD points per game to the position in the last 15 games. The Blazers are also giving up the second-highest three-point shooting percentage of any team on its home floor (38.3), particularly relevant when factoring in Lopez is shooting a career-best 36.9 percent from distance.

ALSO CONSIDER: Nikola Vucevic, CHI vs. SAS ($9,100 DK, $8,300 FD)
