Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. announced his retirement via social media after doing the same thing last year, but this time, he swears it's for good. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback spent 23 seasons in the NFL, 20 of which with the New England Patriots.

The man known as the GOAT was brief and emotional this week when he let the world know he was hanging up his spikes once and for all. This time, it feels real.

Brady will go down in the history books as the best to ever play, setting records and winning Super Bowls at historical clips. No team in the NFL has won more championships (seven) than the 45-year-old living legend. He is a surefire automatic first-ballot Hall of Fame selection, and the most clutch player to ever play the sport.

When it comes to individual accomplishments, the numbers are without comparison, astounding, and simply jaw-dropping.

Will The Buccaneers Sign Or Trade For A QB This Offseason?

Now that their legendary quarterback has officially retired, what will happen to the Buccaneers moving forward? Will they decide to sell off pieces and begin a rebuild, or will they look to sign or trade for a Brady replacement and reload? We don't know the answer, but fans in Tampa Bay are hoping it's the latter.

The argument can be made for both sides, and even without their Hall of Fame QB, the Buccaneers are still a very talented football team. However, they have players that other teams would undeniably be interested in, like wide receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Tampa Bay general manager Jason Licht clearly has some decisions to make.

He has two options and must pick one direction: trade some pieces and begin a slow rebuild, or attempt to find another star quarterback and fight for another title. Currently, the team has only one QB under contract, Kyle Trask, and going with him would mean they are starting over. When the decision is ultimately made, and regardless of the choice, the Buccaneers will always be grateful that the greatest not only played for them but also led them to a championship.
