Top Fantasy Football Injuries From Sunday: Justin Fields, Joe Mixon, Wan'Dale Robinson, Mike Williams, Kyle Pitts, Matthew Stafford

justin fields fantasy football rankings news NFL DFS lineup picks

Top Injuries From Week 11 fantasy football for RB, WR, QB, TE (2022), as of 11/21 -- Justin Fields, Joe Mixon, Wan'Dale Robinson, Mike Williams, Kyle Pitts, and Matthew Stafford.

Week 11 saw another significant slew of fantasy football injuries and at this point in the season, it can be difficult to find replacements for fantasy football studs. As always, some players who suffered injuries are more likely to miss time than others, but we'll cover it all. Our fantasy football injuries report highlights the banged-up players with fantasy significance and their early status heading into Week 12 as of Monday, November 21, 2022. This article focuses only on players who suffered injuries on Sunday of Week 11 games.

Justin Fields, Joe Mixon, Wan'Dale Robinson, Mike Williams, Kyle Pitts, and  Matthew Stafford picked up bumps and bruises in Week 11. We can't know for sure how these injuries will progress before game time in Week 12, but it's never too early to at least take a look at the group of key guys to prepare for waiver wire Wednesday or Thursday.

Justin Fields Injury Update

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fielder (shoulder) was carted to the locker room for further evaluation and testing following Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The mobile quarterback certainly didn't look 100 percent in the second half. He was seen clutching his shoulder and wincing in pain throughout the contest. When all was said and done, Fields finished with 14 completions for 153 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

He also rushed a whopping 18 times for 85 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Between his four sacks and staggering number of rushes, Fields clearly put his body on the line during Sunday's game. Fantasy managers should be on the lookout for an injury update as soon as Monday morning.

Joe Mixon Injury Update

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon was diagnosed with a concussion, ruling him out of the Week 11 contents against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He totaled 20 rushing yards and 42 receiving yards before exiting the contest.

It's never a good idea to speculate on a concussion, so we'll have to stay tuned for further updates.  Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams would lead the backfield against the Titans next week if Mixon misses time.

Wan'Dale Robinson Injury Update

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, meaning his promising rookie season has come to an unfortunate end. His injury marked a brutal end to what had otherwise been a great day for the rookie, who turned 13 targets into nine catches for 100 yards against the Lions.

Moving forward, expect Darius Slayton to continue to operate as the team's No. 1 WR, while Kenny Golladay, Richie James, and Isaiah Hodgins now have more fantasy life.

Mike Williams Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (ankle) was ruled out early in the first quarter from the Sunday Night Football game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He caught one pass for 15 yards before exiting. This development is concerning since Williams missed the last two games with a high-ankle sprain and it makes sense that the Chargers held him out for the remainder of the contest.

We'll have to see if this setback will cause him to miss more time, but as long as Williams is sidelined, Keenan AllenJoshua Palmer, and DeAndre Carter will operate as Los Angeles' lead receivers.

Kyle Pitts Injury Update

Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts led the team in targets in the 27-24 Week 11 win over the Chicago Bears. The second-year tight end had five targets and a 25% target share in the game despite leaving early with a knee injury. For now, Pitts' knee doesn't seem to be severe, but head coach Arthur Smith didn't have an update immediately following the game. If the second-year tight end misses time, Parker Hesse and MyCole Pruitt are not suitable fantasy replacement options.

However, fantasy players should feel confident starting Pitts next week if he is healthy. The Washington Commanders have surrendered 9.4 or more half-point PPR fantasy points to tight ends in two of their past three contests.

Matthew Stafford Injury Update

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is not currently in concussion protocol, according to an announcement from the team that was relayed by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. This development clarifies reports that surfaced during the Rams' game that suggested Stafford had entered concussion protocol. Rather, the veteran quarterback is simply being monitored by the team and league after exiting Sunday's game.

It will be important to monitor Stafford's status over the next few days considering he was removed from concussion protocol just last week. The Rams play against the Chiefs next Sunday, and it remains to be seen whether Stafford, John Wolford (neck), or Bryce Perkins will draw the start.
