Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson initially got off to a slow start with his new team, throwing just two touchdowns in his first three games.
He finally showed some signs of life in a Week 4 loss to the Raiders, throwing two touchdowns and running for another. Unfortunately, he also picked up a shoulder injury in the contest, which raises some concerns for his Week 5 status.
The Broncos are on a short week as they will take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5's Thursday game. Will Wilson be active in Week 5 or will his shoulder injury prevent him from playing? Let's dive in and take a look.

Russell Wilson Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
Update - Monday, October 3: On Denver's estimated practice report, Wilson would have been listed as limited had the team practiced.
Update - Tuesday, October 4: Wilson was a limited participant in practice.
Update - Wednesday, October 5: Wilson was taken off of the Broncos' final injury report and will play on Thursday.
Russell Wilson Injury News
Wilson is reportedly just dealing with soreness in his throwing shoulder after not missing a snap in Week 4's 32-23 loss to the Raiders. His ability to draw a limited tag through the first two practices of the week is a positive sign pertaining to his availability on Thursday.
Denver head coach Nathaniel Hackett does not appear to be all that concerned with Wilson's status, stating, "He got dinged up in the game and is a little sore today."
Hackett also went on to indicate that he expects Wilson to be able to play in Week 5.
In addition to the injuries to RB Javonte Williams (knee, will miss remainder of season) & OLB Randy Gregory (knee), Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett said QB Russell Wilson (right shoulder) would be listed as limited if team had practiced. Added he expects Wilson to play Thursday.

When asked further, Hackett told reporters that he's "super confident" that his quarterback will be out there. Wilson himself also has stated that he expects to be "full go" for the game on Thursday.
Is Russell Wilson Injured or Playing in Week 5?
In sorting through the information available, it would be a surprise if Wilson did not suit up for Week 5's Thursday night game against the Colts. Wilson has been famously durable during his NFL career as last season was the first time he missed a game due to injury.
Both Wilson and Coach Hackett have been optimistic in their quotes to the media as it comes to Week 5, which is also a good omen in a league where coaches usually tend to play these things close to the vest.
With that out of the way, the main concern for fantasy managers is: Which Wilson will show up to face the Colts? Whether it be due to a new offensive scheme, poor coaching, diminishing skills, or some combination of the three, Wilson is off to an extremely slow start in 2022.
