The field of teams is down to the last two. The storybook ending of Coach K finishing up with a National Championship was overthrown by their arch-rival North Carolina. That's not to say that this won't be an entertaining game.
We start off the Final Four with Kansas playing Villanova. We end it with one of the greatest rivalries college basketball has ever known in Duke and North Carolina. This is going to be a wild one. We just need to figure out which lower-owned pieces are going to come up big.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 4/4/22 starting at 9:20 pm Eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.
DraftKings DFS Captain - NCAA Tournament
Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($15,300)
It costs a pretty penny to anchor your lineup with Bacot, but it's for a good reason. Bacot has seven consecutive double-doubles and hasn't been under 35 DraftKings points in about six weeks. I like the idea of anchoring with Bacot because of the guaranteed value that you're getting. Kansas is a tough and physical team, but I still see Bacot coming through with another double-double. Will he be the highest scorer on the slate? That may be another story. However, he is the safest option.
Christian Braun, Kansas ($12,300)
If you don't like the streakiness of Agbaji, I present the rock that is Braun. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in all but two games on the entire season. One of the unders was against one of the best defensive teams in the country in Texas. The other was against TCU in the upset loss. Braun doesn't really have slate-breaking capabilities like Bacot might have, but the savings allows you to do really nice things with your lineups with the same type of consistency.
Caleb Love, North Carolina ($10,500)
Love put up another big game against Duke to send Coach K on his merry way. Can we count on him to do it against anyone else? He also had a big game against UCLA, but was relatively quiet against St. Peter's and Baylor. Kansas is better on the perimeter than the interior, but if Love gets hot like the did against Duke, he can take over the game. That makes him worth a look at the captain slot in large field GPP's.
Also consider: Ochai Agbaji, Kansas ($13,200); RJ Davis, North Carolina ($10,800)

DraftKings DFS Utility - NCAA Tournament
Brady Manek, North Carolina ($8,600)
The Oklahoma transfer has come up big in the tournament for the Tarheels. He has at least 28 DraftKings points in every tournament game. He has been the sharp-shooter that he was for the last few years for the Sooners. So yes, Manek is familiar with the Jayhawks and many of their current players. He only has one career double-double against the Jayhawks, but that's not really his game. We're here for the scoring. He has at least 14 points in five of his eight career games against Kansas. There's a decent chance of success here.
Jalen Wilson, Kansas ($7,600)
Wilson has at least 22 DraftKings points in every March contest and at least 24 in every NCAA Tournament game. Four of those have been double-double performances. Wilson will have his hands full with Bacot, but I still think he'll be able to have a solid game inside for Kansas. It feels to me like Wilson has been undervalued much of the season. We're seeing him reach his full potential in the tournament.
Leaky Black, North Carolina ($5,200)
Black has played ever minute of two tournament games and all but one of another. That alone is worth plugging him into your lineups. Black is an afterthought on offense most of the time, but he is an outstanding defensive player and routinely tops 20 DraftKings points despite not scoring more than eight points in a game since February 16. I want this kind of a floor on my value pick. Neither team runs deep off the bench, so we want all starters if possible. Black makes it possible.
Also consider: Remy Martin, Kansas ($6,600); David McCormack, Kansas ($5,800)
