Worlds Quarterfinals DFS Lineup Picks for 10/24/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and Worlds DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 10/24/21. He discusses the Worlds Quarterfinals LoL slates and his top targets.

Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. We are now onto the last two quarterfinal matchups

Worlds is the best time of year for League of Legends as we get to see the top teams from all the regions battle it out to see who is the best. There are plenty of great teams in this tournament and I look forward to covering the DFS slates along the way.

Today I'll be bringing you my top League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for the slate beginning on Sunday, October 24th, 2021 at 8:00 AM EST. You can check me out on Twitter @nolanroth10 and follow me for more LOL content!

Matchups

  • DWG (-1100) vs. MAD
  • Gen G (-285) vs. C9

DWG vs. MAD

DWG was the only team to go 6-0 in the group stage and look to be the favorites to take home the championship at this time. Showmaker is probably the best player in the tournament and has racked up a KDA of 14.2 through the group stage. All of DWG has looked great so far with each individual laner having a positive gold difference through 10 minutes.

DWG is averaging 17 kills per game to only 8 deaths compared to 15.6 kills and 16.8 deaths for the Mad Lions. MAD is a team that will fight right up until the last minute so we should see plenty of kills throughout this series. These two teams did face off in the semi-finals of MSI where DWG defeated MAD 3-2. MAD had one of the highest average game times during groups at 37.9 minutes compared to 34.3 for DWG which was the middle of the pack.

Overall DWG is just a better team and with the way they have been playing, I don't think there is much hope for MAD to come out of this series with a win.

Top plays from DWG: Showmaker, Khan, Canyon, Team

Top plays from MAD: Humanoid, Kaiser, Carzzy

Gen G vs. C9

Gen G vs. C9 is our final matchup of the quarterfinals and are likely the two weakest teams remaining in worlds. Both teams had very shaky group stages and had to win tiebreakers to advance to the quarterfinals. Gen G has 4 of their 5 wins on the blue side compared to C9 having 2 wins on blue and 1 on red.

Gen G was tied for the longest average game time during the group stage and as a team like to stall until the late game. This is a contrast of styles compared to C9 who like to push the early game and snowball any lead generated. It will be interesting to see which team's style is more successful in this series. The big unknown for me in this series is which C9 team will show up? The team that went 0-3 to start groups and didn't look all that competitive, or the team that went 3-1 on the final day to push a tiebreaker and advance to the quarterfinals. If we get the team that showed up to start groups then Gen G win this series with relative ease. However, I am expecting we get the C9 that we saw win 3 out of 4 on the last day, and with how Gen G has looked C9 come out and win the series.

Perkz will be the focal point for C9 and he has a knack for taking his game to another level in pressure situations. Perkz had a 25.3% kill share in the group stage along with a plus 204 GD1o. If Perkz and Blaber come out and play well, C9 should be able to pull off the upset and advance to the semi-finals.

Top plays from C9: Perkz, Blaber, Fudge, Team

Final Thoughts

DWG main stack is the safe way to go as they should have a much easier series against MAD than C9/Gen. However, it wouldn't shock me to see Perkz captain being the highest scoring player on the slate. Showmaker and Perkz are how I am starting every lineup. This is the last slate of quarterfinals, good luck to everyone and I will be back with my analysis for the semis.
