Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Cam Skattebo, RB, New York Giants
New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo rushed 19 times for 98 yards and three touchdowns during Thursday's upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He also caught each of his two targets, totaling 12 receiving yards.
The rookie held onto his lead-back role despite Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) returning to action. Between his large volume, high efficiency, and nose for the end zone, Skattebo has proven that he deserves to be the bell-cow running back in New York.
He has established himself as a potential fantasy football league-winner and should rank as a fringe top-12 running back against the Broncos in Week 7.
RJ Harvey, RB, Denver Broncos
Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey tied with wide receiver Troy Franklin for second most targets in London in Sunday's 13-11 win over the New York Jets.
Harvey finished with four yards on two carries while catching four passes for 21 yards in Sunday's victory. While J.K. Dobbins still led the team with 14 carries on the day, Harvey has his own role carved out in the passing game by catching four passes.
This bodes well for Harvey, as it's clear he is trusted more in the passing game, averaging 3.75 targets per game over the past four weeks compared to Dobbins' 1.25 targets per game. Still a solid handcuff worth stashing, Harvey will maintain his role in Week 7 versus the New York Giants.
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
ESPN's Dan Graziano writes that the Houston Texans still view rookie running back Woody Marks as "predominantly a passing-game back," and one who "had a bit of an injury history in college."
It was looking like Marks was taking over the backfield from veteran Nick Chubb when he had a season-high 17 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown while adding four catches for 50 yards and another TD in the Week 4 win against the Tennessee Titans.
However, he was a disappointment in last week's blowout win over the Baltimore Ravens, handling seven carries for 24 yards and failing to reel in his only pass-game target. It means that when Houston is up big, like they were in Baltimore, Chubb will continue to have the playing-time advantage. Marks is still worth rostering in all fantasy leagues, but his backfield takeover in Houston appears to be a little premature.
