Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker is coming off another decent performance this weekend. Tucker hauled in four of his five targets for 41 yards in the loss to the New England Patriots. Tucker finished second on the team in receptions behind tight end Brock Bowers during Sunday's loss.
The 25-year-old has finished with four receptions or more in each of the last four games. It hasn't resulted in a ton of value, with 44 receiving yards or fewer in three straight games. There seems to be enough consistent value here to consider starting Tucker in deep leagues. He's not posting great numbers, but he's an interesting target for fantasy managers needing help at wide receiver.
Kimani Vidal, Los Angeles Chargers
After a Week 4 touchdown reception against the Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal recorded his first score on the ground in a Week 5 loss to the Broncos, and he has legitimate stash appeal on this week's waiver wire. For the second week in a row, the Chargers deployed a near-even three-way split between Vidal, Omarion Hampton, and Keaton Mitchell, with Vidal actually leading the group with 28 offensive snaps. His 42-yard touchdown run helped him to finish with 57 rushing yards and a 7.1-yard-per-carry average on his eight attempts.
While he still isn't seeing enough work to be a reliable weekly start, Vidal has been the team's most efficient runner on a limited sample size, racking up yards after contact. With Hampton disappointing through five weeks, and Vidal possessing multiple potential paths to an expanded workload, he's become a player worthy of an end-of-bench stash in deeper leagues.
Keaton Mitchell, Los Angeles Chargers
Despite modest results in a Week 5 loss to the Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers running back Keaton Mitchell remains heavily involved in what has been arguably the league's most disappointing offense, pointing to potentially brighter days ahead. For the second week in a row, the Chargers leaned on a three-way backfield split, with Mitchell, Omarion Hampton, and Kimani Vidal all seeing the field for at least 20 snaps, and each seeing at least nine opportunities.
Vidal, while still the least utilized, has been the team's most efficient runner, but Mitchell remains the designated passing back, with his 14 targets through five weeks more than doubling the combined total of the other two. While the current split makes none of the Chargers' backs a reliable weekly start, Mitchell's big-play ability, coupled with multiple paths to an expanded workload, makes him a must-roster player and a waiver stash to target wherever he's still available.
Mike Evans, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs) helped lift his team to a 32-29 win over the rival Seattle Seahawks. In a vintage performance, the 33-year-old Evans recorded season highs in receptions (seven) and receiving yards (113), while scoring a touchdown.
Evans led the 49ers in all receiving categories. Evans is dealing with an injury to his ribs and did not practice on Thursday, while logging two limited sessions during the week. He was able to play 38 snaps against the Seahawks and was not slowed down by his injury in any way. Evans leads the 49ers in receptions with 24 and receiving yards with 326 in 2026. He has also scored three touchdowns. Evans continues to be a must-start player in a San Francisco wide receiver room that is dealing with multiple injuries.
Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring) is the lone player who will not practice on Wednesday as the team comes out of their bye week, according to Nate Taylor of ESPN. Rice suffered what was believed to be a minor hamstring injury in the Week 4 win over the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, but a DNP in the first practice of this week puts him up in the air to return this Sunday at home against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers.
The 26-year-old still has two more days to return to the practice field, and fantasy managers should be following his status closely through the end of the week. If Rice does not get the green light to face the Chargers on Sunday, receivers Xavier Worthy, Cyrus Allen, and Jalen Royals would be in starting three-wide sets, with veteran tight end Travis Kelce also being more involved in the passing game against the winless Bolts. Through four games this year, Rice has caught 13 of his 17 targets for 190 yards and one touchdown for the undefeated Chiefs.
