Week 7 Wide Receiver Rankings & Matchups Analysis

mike evans fantasy football dynasty analysis

Bill Dubiel's 2016 Week 7 wide receiver (WR) fantasy football rankings analysis and tiered ranks. His rankings and start/sit advice for your Week 7 wide receiver matchups.

Below you will find our Week 7 wide receivers rankings, to help determine your WR starts/sits for this week, brought to you by Bill Dubiel (@Roto_Dubs), Nick Mariano (@NMariano53) and Ben Ruppert (@Ben_Ruppert_21).

Lead columnist Bill Dubiel also highlights some WR rankings and matchups analysis for Week 7, and draws some matchup conclusions. He tells you who he likes, who he doesn't, and most importantly who he thinks you should be starting in Week 7.

Week 7 Wide Receivers - Rankings & Matchups Analysis

I don't see how A.J. Green doesn't have a monster game against the Browns this week. Andy Dalton is playing terrific ball at the moment, and with Tyler Eifert looking as though he has a shot at playing, the defense will need to allocate some attention away from Green. He has a great shot to finish as the top fantasy player this week.

I'm very nervous about Allen Robinson. Blake Bortles seems to have regressed this year, and AR15 simply isn't getting the volume to make him the WR1 that many owners spent a first- or second-round pick on. If he can't put up a big game against the abysmal Raiders secondary, it may be time to downgrade Robinson to a WR2.

I seem to be low on Jarvis Landry this week, mostly because I think the Bills are going to make life a living hell for Ryan Tannehill. I do believe that the Bills will win this game, and Tannehill will need to throw to keep up. Landry will likely see 10+ targets, so his floor remains solid, but his upside should be limited as the Bills secondary keys in on him.

With Travis Benjamin questionable, this could be a huge week for Tyrell Williams. The big-bodied wideout has thrived in the absence of Keenan Allen, and as long as Desmond Trufant doesn't shadow him he should put up solid numbers against the Atlanta secondary.

Quick, who's Drew Brees' #2 receiver? WRONG. It's Michael Thomas, and by a pretty significant margin. Marques Colston's heir-apparent has scored in each of the last three weeks, and he appears to have jumped ahead of Willie Snead in the pecking order. He should return flex value this week even though the Saints are on the road.

Pierre Garcon saw 11 targets with Jordan Reed inactive last week, and he should continue to see fantasy-worthy volume as long as the dynamic tight end is sidelined with a concussion. I like him as a WR3 play in PPR leagues, and he could return flex value in all formats against the beatable Detroit secondary.
