Week 7 Kicker Streamers and Starts - 2023 Fantasy Tiers, Rankings

Graham Gano - Fantasy Football Rankings, Kicker Streamers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Mike Fanelli breaks down all 2023 fantasy football Week 7 kickers - streamers, starts, sits, targets, avoids, and waiver wire pickups. Our Week 7 rankings and tiers for all of the NFL kickers.

Welcome RotoBallers to our Week 7 fantasy football kicker streamers, starts, rankings article. Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books. Let’s see how last week’s streaming kickers performed for fantasy players.

Nick Folk was our top streaming kicker last week. He scored 10 fantasy points against the Baltimore Ravens in London. He has scored double-digit fantasy points in all but one game this season. Hopefully, fantasy players had Folk on their team and got the Week 6 victory.

The only easy win came last week. So, let’s look at the top streaming kickers and rankings for Week 7.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 7

All streamers in this article are rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues.

Graham Gano (NYG) vs. Washington Commanders (8% Rostered)

Unfortunately, the Giants’ offense has struggled this season. Yet, Gano has played well for fantasy players. The veteran kicker has averaged 8.6 fantasy points per game since Week 1, totaling at least seven points in all but one contest. Furthermore, he has 22 fantasy points over the past two weeks. Last week, Gano made all three of his field goal attempts, including two in the first half.

Meanwhile, Younghoe Koo had only five fantasy points last week against the Commanders. However, they have been a fantasy-friendly team to opposing kickers this season. Before last week’s matchup, Washington had surrendered 14.2 fantasy points per game to kickers, giving up 12 or more in all but one contest. Gano should have his third consecutive double-digit fantasy performance with the Giants’ offense struggling.

Riley Patterson (DET) vs. Baltimore Ravens (51% Rostered)

The Lions have a 5-1 record this year because they have played well in all three phases of the game. Patterson had his first miss of the season in Week 6 but still scored a solid seven fantasy points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The veteran has averaged 7.6 fantasy points per game since Week 1, scoring at least seven in all but one contest.

Patterson should have another solid fantasy performance in Week 7 against the Ravens. Baltimore has been excellent for opposing kickers this season, giving up 10.8 fantasy points per game to the position. Furthermore, they have surrendered 12.5 fantasy points per game to the kickers over the past four weeks, giving up double-digits in all but one contest. The matchup between the Lions and Ravens should be high-scoring, leading to plenty of opportunities for the veteran kicker.

Chris Boswell (PIT) vs. Los Angeles Rams (7% Rostered)

Pittsburgh is coming off their bye week and has a critical matchup in Week 7. While the offense has struggled this year, Boswell has been outstanding for fantasy players and the Steelers. The veteran kicker has averaged 11 fantasy points per game since Week 1, scoring 11 or more in all but one contest. Furthermore, he is one of five kickers to make 100% of his field goals with 10 or more attempts this season.

More importantly, Boswell has an outstanding fantasy matchup against Los Angeles. The Rams have been one of the most friendly teams to opposing kickers this year, giving up 10.2 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, opposing kickers have scored 11 or more fantasy points against Los Angeles in all but one contest since Week 1, including two straight weeks. Boswell should make it three consecutive weeks this Sunday.

Kickers to Avoid in Week 7

Fantasy players should always stream the kicker position. However, it’s important to avoid picking up and starting a kicker that will be a bust. Let’s see which two kickers you shouldn’t pick up off the waiver wire this week.

Joey Slye (WAS) vs. New York Giants (1% Rostered)

While the Commanders have averaged 22.2 points per game this season, Slye hasn’t been an ideal fantasy kicker. The veteran has averaged seven fantasy points per game this year, scoring nine or fewer in every contest. Furthermore, he has struggled to convert field goals, missing 25% of his attempts. Unfortunately, his matchup in Week 7 lacks fantasy appeal.

The Giants started the year giving up fantasy points in bunches to opposing kickers, surrendering 10 per game over the first three weeks. However, New York has held kickers to only 13 fantasy points over the past three weeks, giving up five or fewer twice. Slye hasn’t scored more than seven fantasy points since Week 2. That trend will continue against the NFC East division rivals.

Greg Joseph (MIN) vs. San Francisco 49ers (11% Rostered)

Minnesota hasn’t had the season they wanted this year. Unfortunately, Justin Jefferson will miss at least three more games because of a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Joseph had his best performance this season in Week 6, scoring 10 fantasy points thanks to a pair of field goals from 50 or more yards away. Furthermore, the veteran kicker passed Dan Bailey for the sixth-most made field goals in franchise history in the win.

Meanwhile, the veteran kicker has an awful matchup on Monday night against the 49ers. San Francisco gave up 16 fantasy points to Dustin Hopkins last week. Yet, they have surrendered only 8.2 fantasy points per game to kickers this season. Furthermore, the 49ers held opposing kickers to under seven fantasy points in half the contests. Fantasy players should avoid starting Joseph at all costs.
