Tyler Lockett fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 7 (2024). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Tyler Lockett for your fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Benching Lockett outside of 3-WR start and deeper formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Lockett is doing just enough to stick around and remain relevant, but it's largely costing him and teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba from seeing larger fantasy production going forward.
With a 14.3% slice of the target pie, a decent 1.65 yards per route run, and being the go-to guy on 18% of first reads, Lockett is holding his own. He’s also snagged a share of the limelight in the end zone, tying for the team lead with five end-zone targets.

Lockett was a DNP on Thursday this week after suffering a knee injury.
The Seahawks face the Falcons this week, who tend to play a lot of two-high safety coverage (fifth-most at 58.3% since Week 4), and it could cramp Lockett’s style. His numbers have dipped against these coverages--his target share has slipped to 13.6%, his yards per route run have dropped to 1.33, and his first-read share has dipped slightly to 16.9%.
Given this setup, it might be a savvy move to bench Lockett this week as Atlanta's defense could keep his fantasy numbers grounded.
