Tim Boyle's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Tim Boyle for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit In All Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB3
ANALYSIS: The New York Jets have made a change at quarterback this week, but don't expect big numbers from the new guy at the position, Tim Boyle.
Boyle came in against Buffalo in relief of Zach Wilson, who was benched for his poor play. The results weren't great, as Boyle was 7-for-14 for 33 yards with an interception in the game. He was sacked once as well.
For his career, Boyle has appeared in 18 games with three starts. All three of those were for the Lions in 2021 and all three of those resulted in losses. Boyle has thrown three touchdown passes in 120 career attempts as well as nine interceptions.
His college numbers weren't much better. In three seasons at UConn, Boyle threw just one touchdown pass on 275 attempts but was intercepted 13 times.
Based on his past production—or, rather, his lack of past production—Boyle should not be on your fantasy radar in Week 12 when his Jets team faces the Miami Dolphins in the first NFL Black Friday game. I suppose there might be some upside in DFS GPPs as a way of differentiating your lineup, but Boyle just doesn't feel like the answer for the Jets or for any fantasy managers who need help at quarterback.
