Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks for Fantasy Football Week 7: Drake London, Courtland Sutton, Rhamondre Stevenson

Drake London - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Should I start Drake London, Courtland Sutton, or Rhamondre Stevenson in Week 7? Fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks and recommendations for the 2023 NFL season.

Week 7 is almost upon us and the further we get into the season, the more important start/sit decisions become. Your choices from here on out can make or break your chances of winning your fantasy league.

Today's trio of players are carrying the disappointment label but that may not actually be the case for some of them. It's easy to remember the goose egg that Drake London gave fantasy managers in Week 1 but he's been solid for the most part since then. Courtland Sutton has been scoring but catches and yards aren't coming as easy. Rhamondre Stevenson, well, fantasy managers know how bad the New England running back has been.

Should you start Drake London, Courtland Sutton, or Rhamondre Stevenson in Week 7? Let's discuss.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Should I Start Drake London In Week 7?

In four out of five games this season, the Buccaneers' secondary has allowed two opposing receivers to either rack up over 100 yards or score a touchdown. The lone contest when it didn't happen was when Derek Carr played with a bum shoulder and couldn't throw the football down the field. Last week, both Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams found paydirt. St. Brown also set career-high marks in catches and yards.

Since only putting the ball in the air 18 times in Week 1, Desmond Ridder has actually passed almost as much as any other quarterback. His 37 attempts per game since Week 1 ranks fifth when compared to the season-long averages of other quarterbacks. Kirk Cousins, Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, and Patrick Mahomes are ahead of Ridder on the list.

Also excluding Week 1, Drake London has been worthy of a start (double-digits fantasy points) in four out of five games. He's averaging 14.4 PPR points over that stretch and sits as the WR16. With injuries and bye weeks aplenty (more on that later), London is an absolute start this week.

London is the WR29 in our half-PPR fantasy football rankings.

Should I Start Courtland Sutton In Week 7?

Touchdowns will forever be make-or-break fantasy matchups. Courtland Sutton's scores have saved his stat lines. Without his touchdowns, the 28-year-old would only have two games with double-digit PPR points. Thankfully for Sutton managers, he's found the end zone four times through six games.

That number happens to be the amount of touchdowns that the Green Bay Packers have allowed to opposing wideouts. The secondary allows the eighth-fewest fantasy points to receivers. Cornerback Jaire Alexander has been healthy for three games this season and helped hold D.J. Moore to 4.5 points in Week 1 and Davante Adams to 8.5 points in Week 5. Alexander was a late add to the injury report with a back issue and he is officially questionable for the game. He'll make a big difference if he's able to suit up.

The Packers are far more susceptible to the run game. The Broncos boast a trio of running backs (Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Samaje Perine) that can pick up chunk yardage. They'll attack the Packers there to begin the game and will revert to a heavy passing attack only if they fall behind.

Sutton is the WR33 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.

Should I Start Rhamondre Stevenson In Week 7?

Rhamondre Stevenson topped four yards per carry for the first time this season! And he caught five passes! And he scored a touchdown!

Relief finally came for disgruntled Stevenson managers in Week 6. His 18-point "outburst" brought his weekly PPR average over double digits. Stevenson isn't earning as many targets this year, bringing his average receptions to 2.83 per game, down from over four last season. His yards per carry is also down exactly two yards from his average in 2022.

Rhamondre Stevenson 2022 2023
Yards Per Carry 5.0 3.0
Yards Per Game 61.2 39
Catches Per Game 4.1 2.8

Only the New York Giants average fewer points per game than New England. The Buffalo defense allows the second-fewest points per game. Stevenson may not score for the second week in a row but the Bills are giving up a lot of yardage on the ground. With six teams on bye and injuries mounting at the running back position, Stevenson is an RB2 by default this week.

Stevenson is the RB23 in our half-PPR consensus staff rankings.
