Sleeper NFL DFS Prop Picks For Week 8

Chris Olave - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Ellis' favorite Week 8 prop bets on Sleeper. This week he has selected a prop for two wide receivers and two running backs. Use Ellis' picks to win money on Sleeper!

We are back with my four favorite prop picks from Sleeper for the early slate of games. For the second week in a row, we finished 3-1. The one “loss” was Brett Maher who had the opportunities but failed to convert, ultimately getting cut from the team the day after. Although that hurt, we’re looking to build on our 16-12 total.

In light of the MLB playoffs, if we can continue to hit above 500 I’d be very happy. I’m hoping we can find some gems in this early slate of games. This week with no teams on bye, there are plenty of matchups to choose from!

My name is Ellis Johnson and I have been writing for RotoBaller for four years. You can catch my weekly Fantasy Pie Shop articles on RotoBaller (trust me, it’s as fun as it sounds). RotoBaller is coming out with weekly DFS plays and lots of great analysis with their DFS pass. Be sure to check it out as the team has been crushing it so far this year!

Alvin Kamara (RB, NOS)

Over 4.5 receptions

Whether it’s effective or not, Derek Carr loves to check it down to the running back. Over the last two weeks, he has 19 receptions on 22 targets. After what we saw from this Colts team last week, this should be a tight game.

This is one of those lines where I’m surprised to see it set this low. Although the Colts are middle of the pack against RBs, the Carr-Kamara connection is like no other. This should be a smash play for Week Eight.

Chris Olave (WR, NOS)

Over 4.5 receptions

I don’t usually pick two players from the same game for these articles, nor do I pick the "over" on receptions totals for teammates, but here we are. This line, much like Kamara’s, seems shockingly low.

The Colts have been brutal against WRs all season, allowing the second most yards, receptions, and touchdowns per game. Olave has been Carr’s top target, with five or more targets in each game and five games with 10+. Once again, I have faith that the Colts will keep this competitive, forcing Carr to throw. The targets will be there this week, it’ll all come down to whether Olave can finish his routes and get catchable passes from Carr.

Cooper Kupp (WR, LAR)

Over 7.5 receptions

After being held to two receptions in Week Seven, I expect a big bounceback for the star WR. Dallas has been a formidable defense against all positions this season and relies on their pass rush to get to the QB more often than not.

In this game, I expect Stefon Gilmore will be on Puka Nacua out wide, making Kupp available for quick catches over the middle. I also like his yardage over (84.5), but I think the receptions are slightly safer.

Dameon Pierce (RB, HOU)

Over 53.5 rushing yards

Pierce is a scary player to select at this moment as he is coming off his bye and the last time we saw him, he spit touches with Devin Singletary. Although Singletary worries me a little, I expect he is the reason this line seems low.

Carolina has been brutal against the run all season, allowing 114 rushing yards and two touchdowns a game to opposing RBs. I believe the Texans will manage to be up early and want to lean on their run game and defense to ice this game. As a result, Pierce should get around 15 carries, which is plenty to reach 53.5 yards against this defense.

Thanks for reading my article. Check out my Pie Shop and other prop selections all on RotoBaller.
