Rachaad White fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 5 (2024). Should you start or sit Rachaad White for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Rachaad White is a solid start in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons, despite the mediocre performance last week where he rushed 10 times for 49 yards and added two receptions for 35 yards.
While those numbers may not jump off the page, they show White's involvement in both the rushing and passing game, giving him multiple ways to contribute to fantasy teams.
The Falcons' defense is middle-of-the-pack against the run, ranking 18th in the league, which offers White the chance to find running lanes and capitalize on his touches. His ability to catch passes out of the backfield also raises his floor in PPR formats, making him a versatile option.
#Bucs HC Todd Bowles on whether Bucky Irving has earned the right to be the starting running back:
“No… We’re gonna need Bucky and Rachaad [White] all year. Bucky had some schemed runs that worked and Rachaad had some that didn’t. That doesn’t mean he’s playing better, that… pic.twitter.com/d7WzRZ3bCb
Fantasy managers can confidently view White as a low-end RB2 with upside, especially if he finds the end zone. Tampa Bay's offense, led by Baker Mayfield, has been moving the ball well, and White has established himself as the clear lead back in the Buccaneers' backfield.
His high potential for touches and his role in both phases of the offense give him solid fantasy value, especially in a game where Tampa Bay could control the clock and rely on the ground game.
Starting White this week could pay off, particularly for teams in need of steady production from their RB2 spot.

The running back position is quite interesting in championship week. Any starting RB as well as a handful of RB2s should be considered for starting lineups. Even the "lower-tier" starting RBs can be quite valuable for fantasy teams. We just saw Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard, who was one of the biggest draft busts […]
