Zachary Orr A Possibility For Seahawks As Defensive Coordinator
11 months agoNow that the Seattle Seahawks have hired former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald as their next head coach, Ravens inside linebackers coach Zachary Orr is a candidate to become Seattle's next defensive coordinator. Orr worked alongside MacDonald in Baltimore the last two seasons. The Packers are expected to hire Boston College head coach Jeff Hafley as their next defensive coordinator, but they also interviewed Orr for the same position. The 31-year-old returned to the Ravens in 2022 after spending the 2021 season as the Jacksonville Jaguars' outside linebackers coach. He became a defensive analyst for Baltimore after his playing career with the team was cut short due to injury. Orr was named a second-team All-Pro in 2016 after recording 133 total tackles (six for loss), a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and three interceptions.
