Per the team, the New England Patriots have signed free agent offensive tackle Yasir Durant to a one-year contract. The terms were not disclosed. The 27-year-old signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 and appeared in 11 games for the team that year (one start). In 2021, KC flipped Durant to New England, and he'd make his way to New Orleans' roster the season after that. However, in that time, he suited up for only eight contests. He took the previous two years off from the NFL and played with the DC Defenders in the United Football League. Durant was named to the All-UFL team in 2025 and won the Championship with DC. It's unclear whether he'll make New England's roster, but it's worth noting he's listed as a guard on their unofficial depth chart despite residing at tackle for the Defenders.--Alex Ciulla
