Victor Scott II Blasts Third Homer in Rout
Victor Scott II went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 12-2 victory against the hosting Chicago White Sox. He also scored twice. With his team up 10-2 in the top of the ninth, the 24-year-old deposited a 370-foot two-run insurance bomb off position player Vinny Capra -- his third long ball of 2025 -- scoring teammate Pedro Pages. It was his first homer since Apr. 30. Scott II has improved from his first taste of big-league action in 2024, batting .241 with eight doubles, one triple, 24 RBI, 31 runs scored, and 19 steals through 68 games. He's had a rough go in June, though, slashing .158/.289/.237 in 14 appearances.
