Tyler O'Neill Not Playing Wednesday
8 months agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Tyler O'Neill is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the Oakland Athletics. It looks to be a normal day of rest for O'Neill in a day game following an extra-inning night game on Tuesday. The 28-year-old Canadian is off to a good start in his first year with the Red Sox through six games, going 6-for-18 (.333) with two home runs, two RBI, a stolen base, five walks and a league-high six runs scored in his first 23 plate appearances. With O'Neill out on Wednesday, Wilyer Abreu is starting in right field and batting ninth against A's right-hander Ross Stripling. Abreu has started the year just 1-for-10 with two walks and six strikeouts and should be avoided as a deep DFS sleeper on Wednesday.
