8/29:New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown has quietly secured the team's left tackle job to protect quarterback Tom Brady in 2018. Brown was acquired from the 49ers in a mid-draft trade. The job was clinched for Brown when first-round rookie Isaiah Wynn tore his Achilles on Aug. 16. Brown, a former seventh-round pick, started 26 games the last two years with San Fran while manning right tackle. Protecting Brady is a very important job, so Brown's performances will be heavily scrutinized as the year goes on.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
