4 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers optioned starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin to the team's alternate training site on Saturday. Gonsolin was an option to begin the season in the starting rotation with David Price opting out of the 2020 campaign, but it didn't help that the right-hander was a late arrival to summer camp for undisclosed reasons. The 26-year-old will need to build up his arm before the Dodgers consider him an option to make starts this year, but there's a good chance that he'll factor as a low-upside streamer in DFS. Gonsolin held his own in his 40 innings with the Blue in 2019, posting a 2.93 ERA. With Gonsolin seemingly out of the rotation picture to start the year, it's looking more and more like Ross Stripling will benefit.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
