Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk (hand) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Kirk underwent X-rays on his hand after getting hit by a foul tip during Tuesday's game. Luckily, the X-rays came back negative, so Kirk appears to have avoided major injury. The Jays are going to take the cautious approach and hold out Kirk on Wednesday. He could miss a few games until the swelling goes down. However, it sounds like Kirk will avoid a trip to the injured list. Tyler Heineman will do the catching and bat eighth against the Twins on Wednesday.--Andy Webb
