Taiyilake Nueraji was successful in his UFC debut as he finished Kiefer Crosbie via first-round TKO on the UFC Shanghai main card opener. The finish was not without controversy, however. Nueraji was dominating Crosbie on the ground, but as Crosbie was trying to get up, Nueraji launched a strike while his opponent was still down on the ground. As a result, referee Marc Goddard deducted two points from Nueraji, but it mattered little as Nueraji got Crosbie to the ground again and finished him with elbows. In 3:33 of action, Nueraji landed a takedown and 27 significant strikes. With the win, Nueraji has improved to 12-1 as a pro.--Alen Kurbasic
