Texas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien (foot) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Saturday, retroactive August 22. Semien has been absent from the lineup since fouling a ball off his foot during Thursday's contest. The veteran slugger is scheduled to meet with a foot doctor on Sunday, but the Rangers decided to place him on the shelf anyway. The expectation is that the Rangers are going to use a committee approach at second base while he's out. Ezequiel Duran will probably see the biggest boost. Duran could be worth a look in deep leagues given how well he has been hitting in August.--Andy Webb
