Tommy White Riding 15-Game Hitting Streak At High-A
Tommy White continued his impressive start to the regular season on Thursday. In this outing, White went 2-for-2 with a home run, a walk, and a stolen base. This outing extended his hitting streak to 15 games. During this stretch, the former LSU product has held a stellar .410/.472/.672 slash line with seven doubles, three home runs, and two stolen bases. The Athletics drafted the 22-year-old in the second round of last year's MLB Draft. He was given a brief taste of Low-A ball following last year's draft and held a .224/.303/.299 across 25 games. However, it appears White has already taken a significant step forward during his first look at High-A. If he continues this production, he should be in the mix to earn the call to Double-A later this summer.
