Tim Anderson Remains Out Friday
11 months agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (shoulder) is still absent from the starting lineup on Friday against the visiting Boston Red Sox. Anderson last started a game on June 17 before exiting early with a right-shoulder injury. He hasn't started since then, although he made a pinch-hitting appearance on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day, but if his absence extends much longer, the White Sox may have to put him on the injured list. The 30-year-old shortstop has been one of the biggest disappointments in fantasy this year, as he's hitting .249 (52-for-209) with no home runs, eight RBI and 10 RBI in 52 games. Elvis Andrus continues to start at shortstop and will hit seventh against Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello on Friday.
