The Houston Texans and outside linebacker/defensive end Jadeveon Clowney are far apart in talks on a potential long-term extension, and the unsigned franchise player will not attend the offseason conditioning program or organized team activities as a result. There is no deal in sight or expected anytime soon. Clowney can be a difference-maker on defense for Houston, especially paired with J.J. Watt, but only if he's healthy. The oft-injured Pro Bowler has 18.5 sacks in the last two seasons combined but has only played in a full season once in his five seasons, which is likely playing a part in the contract impasse.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
