Shaedon Sharpe Ready To Start Next Season
2 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard/forward Shaedon Sharpe has announced that he feels like he's ready to be a starter next season. He said it in his exit interview after the 19-year-old had completed his rookie campaign with an 18-point effort in a 157-101 loss to Golden State. He also had seven rebounds and four assists in the game with one steal. With a number of players dropping out of the lineup, Sharpe was able to finish the season as a starter and had 15 games in total in the starting unit. He put up 18.5 points in these outings with 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists. These are very good numbers, but Sharpe made only one start next to Damian Lillard, so there's no guarantee that he can keep up the same productivity if he indeed breaks into the starting lineup for the 2023-24 campaign.
