Ryan Pepiot In The Mix To Start Game 3 Of NLDS
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Ryan Pepiot is "in play" to start for the team in Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on the road, according to manager Dave Roberts, as is veteran right-hander Lance Lynn. Pepiot posted a 2.14 ERA in 42 innings in the final six weeks of the regular season. "To what end, in what capacity, I just don't know right now," Roberts said. "Ryan's been great. Versus right, versus left, the head, the throwing, all that stuff, he's really checked a lot of boxes and really grown." It remains to be seen if the Dodgers piggyback Lynn and Pepiot in some order in Game 3. In a start against the D-backs on Aug. 30 in Arizona, Pepiot picked up the win by tossing five shutout innings (two hits) while walking one and striking out three. Pepiot would be the more attractive DFS play if he makes the start in Game 3.
