Ryan Newman begins Sunday's race in 16th position but the chances he moves up significantly are small at best. Newman had a -2 place differential at Kansas and could fare even worse on this two-mile track. The Jack Roush Racing driver is another one who might fall out of the top 20 on Sunday. That first race at Michigan last year was telling as Newman struggled to 28th. It might happen again. The No. 6 does have some issues with this type of build as he gets slow with all the banking.
