Roch Cholowsky Shut Down for Rest of Season
According to James Fegan, Chicago White Sox shortstop prospect Roch Cholowsky (wrist) has been shut down for the year. The No. 1 overall pick from this year's draft is done for the season due to right wrist soreness. Across nine games with High-A Winston Salem, Cholowsky went 6-for-36 with a home run and 10 RBI, and seven walks. He'll likely return to this level next year, but it shouldn't be long before he gets promoted to Double-A. The expectation is that Cholowsky should be on a relatively quick path to the big leagues.
