The Boston Red Sox rehired former manager Alex Cora on Friday, according to a source. Cora helped lead the team to a World Series title in 2018 but mutually agreed to part ways before the 2020 season due to his involvement in the Astros' sign-stealing scandal. He was suspended for one season for his role in the scandal. The Red Sox finished 24-36 and in last place in the American League East this year and didn't retain manager Ron Roenicke, who replaced Cora in January. Boston finished a franchise-best 108-54 in the regular season in 2018 under Cora and led the majors with a .268 batting average and 876 runs scored.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
