6 years agoSeattle Seahawks rookie first-round pick Rashaad Penny (finger) is expected to be back by Week 1 and should have a sizeable role in the offense, according to head coach Pete Carroll. However, Penny won't be taking the starting role away from Chris Carson anytime soon. Carson has been very impressive throughout offseason workouts and into training camp. Carson was impressive in his rookie year before suffering a broken leg, although it was a small sample size. He packed on nine pounds in the offseason but hasn't lost his speed or quickness. Carson is in line to lead this backfield to open the year, but Penny will get his touches as the season progresses.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
