Pirates Acquire Dillon Peters, DFA Kyle Crick
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates acquired left-hander Dillon Peters from the Los Angeles Angels on Monday and have assigned him to Triple-A Indianapolis. In a corresponding move, the team designated right-hander Kyle Crick for assignment. Peters has not pitched in the big leagues this year and allowed three earned runs on two homers in just 1 2/3 innings with the Angels last year. The 28-year-old southpaw had a 4.35 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 48/13 K/BB in 41 1/3 innings over eight starts for Triple-A Salt Lake before the trade. There's a chance we see him with Pittsburgh at some point, but he won't be a viable fantasy streamer. Crick has pitched in high-leverage situations for the Bucs before, but he had a 4.44 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 21/19 K/BB in 24 1/3 relief innings for Pittsburgh this year.
