Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero said that outside linebacker Brian Burns looked great in practice on Wednesday, but when he was asked if he's preparing as though Burns will play in Week 1 on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Evero said he's taking it day-by-day. Burns has been with the team, but he hasn't been practicing while searching for a new contract. The 25-year-old will likely be active against Atlanta this weekend, but he could be on a snap count, which makes him a risky starting lineup addition for fantasy managers in IDP leagues. The two-time Pro Bowler had 63 tackles (34 solo), a career-high 12.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss and 22 QB hits in 16 starts for Carolina in his fourth NFL season in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
