Nashville Predators right wing Luke Evangelista finally agreed on a new contract with the team on Friday, signing a two-year, $6 million deal. The 23-year-old was the NHL's last unsigned restricted free agent. Due to his contract dispute, Evangelista hasn't been part of the team's preseason work. Evangelista has earned 86 points (33 goals, 53 assists) in 172 career games and finished the 2024-25 season with 32 points (10 goals, 22 assists) in 68 outings. If he stays healthy, Evangelista could become a 50-point scorer during the upcoming campaign. However, the Toronto-born winger might have difficulty finding form early in the year after missing training camp.--Taavi Pailk
