Logan Cooley Expected to Be Available for Season Opener
Utah Mammoth center Logan Cooley (undisclosed) is on track to be available for next week's season opener, Brogan Houston of the Deseret News reports. Cooley has battled an undisclosed injury during training camp and preseason, but he practiced in a regular jersey on Friday. Following the session, Mammoth head coach Andre Tourigny told reporters that Cooley won't feature in Saturday's preseason finale against the San Jose Sharks, but he will be good to go for opening night. Utah faces the Colorado Avalanche in its first game of the season on Oct. 9. Cooley posted 65 points (25 goals, 40 assists) in 75 outings during his sophomore year and finished off last season by averaging over a point per game during the final four weeks of action.
