Fernando Tatis Jr. Likely to Miss Multiple Games
Fernando Tatis Jr. (illness) is expected to sit out with an illness until later this week, according to president of baseball operations A.J. Preller. After Tatis missed the Padres' playoff-clinching win over the Brewers on Monday, Preller said that the team is testing him for multiple illness, including "influenza and Covid." It's a situation that fantasy managers will have to monitor during the last several days of the regular season. Tatis has once again provided plenty of value this year with a .267/.367/.438 line, 23 homers, 66 RBI, and career highs in runs scored (108) and stolen bases (32) over 681 plate appearances.

Rafael Devers Hits 33rd Homer Of Season Monday
Rafael Devers added to his home run total in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Cardinals. Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo HR and a walk. The 28-year-old lined a fifth-inning Michael McGreevy fastball over the left-center wall for his 33rd long ball of the season. Despite a couple of prolonged slumps, Devers has still provided solid fantasy value, compiling a .252/.371/.473 slash line with 95 runs scored and 106 RBI in 706 plate appearances. His batting average did dip while his strikeout rate jumped to 26.3%, but he should still be a high-end source of power for 2026.

JoJo Romero Earns Eighth Save Of Season Monday
JoJo Romero picked up his eighth save of the season in Monday's 6-5 win over the Giants. Romero came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by one and tossed a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout. The Cardinals have used numerous relief pitchers in save situations over the last 30 days, with Romero seeing more than others. The 29-year-old has pitched well this season, going 4-6 with eight of nine save opportunities converted and 23 holds to go with a 2.09 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, and an 8.06 K/9 rate in 60 1/3 innings of work. While he has been one of the better arms out of the bullpen for the Cardinals, his fantasy value for the final week will remain up in the air, given how the Cardinals have utilized their bullpen at the end of games recently.

Michael Harris II Collects Three RBI, Three Steals Monday
Michael Harris II had a very productive offensive game in Monday's 11-5 win over the Nationals. Harris II went 3-for-5 with two singles, a double, and three RBI. He also swiped three bases. The 24-year-old has failed to produce the all-around fantasy output of his first two seasons. However, he has put together decent counting stats for 2025, slashing .244/.265/.392 with 17 home runs, 83 RBI, and 19 stolen bases in 624 plate appearances. Harris II had an average draft postion of 41 coming into this season, and will likely come at a greater discount than that for 2026.

Gary Sanchez Expecting Late-September Return From Injured List
Gary Sanchez (knee) is eyeing a return from the 60-day injured list in late September, per MLB.com. Sanchez has been on the IL since the beginning of July with a right knee sprain. He has played eight games on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk, posting a .370/.485/.704 slash line with three home runs. The 32-year-old veteran has had some flashes of his old fantasy power this season with the O's, but overall has been disappointing with a .231/.297/.418 slash line, five HR, and 24 RBI in 101 plate appearances.

Ozzie Albies Suffers Season-Ending Left Hamate Fracture Monday
Ozzie Albies (wrist) fractured his left hamate bone in Monday's 11-5 win over the Nationals, per MLB.com's Mark Bowman. He will miss the final five games of the season, and the hope is that he will be ready for the start of Spring Training. The 28-year-old fractured the same wrist in 2024, missing the final two months of that season. He will finish the season with a disappointing .240/.306/.365 slash line, 16 home runs, 74 RBI, and 14 stolen bases in 667 plate appearances. This injury will place question marks on Albies from a fantasy perspective for 2026, as he struggled in 2025 after a similar injury in 2024.

Masyn Winn to Have Knee Surgery on Thursday, Should be Ready for Spring
Masyn Winn (knee) will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Thursday, manager Oliver Marmol announced. The Cardinals expect Winn to be ready for spring training in 2026. The 23-year-old gutted out a meniscus tear during the second half of the season until the Cardinals shut him down earlier this month. With his knee bothering him, Winn went just 4-for-21 with no extra-base hits, one RBI, seven strikeouts, and two walks in seven games in September. The defensive standout finished 2025 with 22 Outs Above Average, which ranked first in the majors when his season came to a premature end, and hit .253/.310/.363 line with nine homers, 51 RBI, 72 runs, and nine steals in 537 plate appearances.

Griffin Conine Activated From 60-Day Injured List
Griffin Conine (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list. Conine is returning at the expense of outfielder Derek Hill (hamstring), whom the Marlins activated from the 10-day IL and designated for assignment. Expectations were that Conine would miss the rest of the 2025 campaign after he dislocated his shoulder in April and underwent surgery. However, after a successful recovery that included a nine-game rehab assignment, the 28-year-old will make it back for the final week of the regular season. Conine, the Marlins' starting right fielder on Opening Day, slashed .281/.352/.438 with a homer, seven RBI, and 10 runs scored over 20 games and 71 plate appearances before he suffered the injury.

Derek Hill Designated for Assignment
Derek Hill (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list and designated him for assignment. His roster spot will go to outfielder Griffin Conine (shoulder), who's back from the 60-day IL. Hill has dealt with multiple injuries this year, most recently a strained right hamstring he suffered on Sept. 1. He appeared in 53 of the Marlins' games this season and batted an uninspiring .213/.275/.331 with three homers, 10 RBI, 19 runs scored, and seven steals in 141 trips to the plate. If the light-hitting 29-year-old goes through waivers unclaimed, he could elect free agency and try to catch on elsewhere.

Ozzie Albies Exits With Apparent Wrist Injury
Ozzie Albies (wrist) exited early against the Washington Nationals on Monday with an apparent injury to his left wrist, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports. Albies appeared to suffer the injury while following through on a swing in the bottom of the third inning, leading the Braves to replace him with Nick Allen. Notably, Albies fractured his left wrist in July 2024 and missed around two months. The 28-year-old has stayed healthy this season, having played in all 157 of the Braves' games, but has hit a disappointing .240/.305/.364 with 16 homers, 74 RBI, 73 runs, and 14 steals in 665 plate appearances.

Jung Hoo Lee Out of Lineup on Monday
Jung Hoo Lee is not in the lineup on Monday against St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Michael McGreevy. Drew Gilbert will take Lee's place in center field and bat ninth, while Jerar Encarnacion will play right and hit eighth. Although the lefty-swinging Lee has posted a respectable .269/.342/.419 line against righties this season, he's in the middle of a severe slump that has lasted almost two weeks. In nine games since Sept. 10, Lee has gone 2-for-28 with no extra-base hits, one RBI, three strikeouts, and three walks. Lee collected both of those singles in a 2-for-4 showing on Saturday, but after going 0-for-4 on Sunday, he'll head to the bench.

Brendan Donovan Scratched From Lineup on Monday
Brendan Donovan (groin) has been scratched from the lineup on Monday against the San Francisco Giants. Donovan was originally penciled in to play second and lead off, but he'll instead sit out with stiffness and soreness stemming from a groin injury, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. The 28-year-old went on the 10-day IL with a strained left groin on Aug. 15 and didn't return until Sept. 12. Donovan has gone a productive 9-for-28 with a homer, three RBI, and five runs scored in six contests since he came back, though he has now been out of the lineup in back-to-back games. The Cardinals are hopeful that Donovan will return on Tuesday. In the meantime, Jose Fermin will fill in at second on Monday and hit eighth against right-hander Justin Verlander.

Fernando Tatis Jr. Out Sick on Monday
Fernando Tatis Jr. (illness) is out of the lineup on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers because of an illness, manager Mike Shildt told reporters. Ryan O'Hearn will take over in right field for Tatis, who has played in a personal-best 152 games this season. The 26-year-old has slashed .267/.367/.438 with 23 homers, 66 RBI, and career highs in runs scored (108) and stolen bases (32) over 681 plate appearances. William Contreras Returning on Monday
William Contreras (hand) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the San Diego Padres. Contreras is playing again after being removed from Saturday's game after getting hit on the wrist by a swing. As a precaution, Contreras sat out of Sunday's contest. Luckily, it was only a hand bruise, so Contreras will only miss one game. He'll cover behind the plate and bat cleanup versus right-hander Nick Pivetta on Monday. Fantasy managers should double check their lineups and make sure they have Contreras in there.

Xander Bogaerts Won't be Activated on Monday
Xander Bogaerts (foot) is not expected to be activated in time for Monday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Padres were hopeful they'd get Bogaerts back for the series opener. Sadly, it looks like Bogaerts will need at least another day to get ready to play. He was able to go through his pregame workout without any issues on Monday. The Padres have just elected to give him another day to rest and get healthy. Jose Iglesias will cover shortstop and bat eighth versus right-hander Freddy Peralta. Fantasy managers should check back on Tuesday to see if Bogaerts is back.
