Miami Marlins outfielder
Kyle Stowers (oblique) has returned to Miami to be re-evaluated on Monday after he was unable to play for Triple-A Jacksonville on his minor-league rehab assignment the last two days, according to Isaac Izaout of Fish On First. Stowers started his rehab assignment with the Jumbo Shrimp on Friday night but was held out on Saturday and Sunday due to fatigue after going 0-for-3 as the designated hitter. The 27-year-old breakout star has been on the 10-day injured list since the middle of August, and it's unclear if he's had a setback with his strained oblique or if he's dealing with another issue, but his availability for the remainder of the 2025 season is now firmly in question. For the time being,
Joey Wiemer should continue to see most of the playing time in right field in Miami, with
Victor Mesa Jr. also being an option for more starts in the outfield.

Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Ryan Sloan (eye) underwent a procedure on his eye that will keep him out two to three weeks, ending his season. The Mariners' fifth-ranked prospect began the year at Single-A, where he showed well, pitching to a 3.44 ERA (2.91 FIP), 1.15 WHIP, and a 21.8 percent K-BB%, while allowing just two home runs in the 70 2/3 innings he pitched. That performance earned him a promotion to High-A, where things did not go quite as smoothly, posting a 5.56 ERA (4.86 FIP), 1.24 WHIP, and three home runs in 11 1/3 innings pitched. Notably, though, the 6-foot-5 hurler did not walk any batters in his three starts there, recording a 13:0 K:BB. The 19-year-old is expected to be ready to go next spring, although it will likely be a couple of years before we see him in the majors.

Milwaukee Brewers infield prospect
Jesus Made was promoted to Double-A Biloxi on Monday after a highly successful 2025 campaign that began at Single-A and saw him move to High-A in early August. The Brewers' top-ranked prospect (MLB No.5) played well at Single-A, including 40 steals in 83 games, but flourished at High-A, where he slashed .343/.415/.500 with a .426 wOBA and 157 wRC+ across 27 games there. The 18-year-old will be one of only two players that young at Double-A, with the other being the Athletics' top prospect (MLB No. 3)
Leodalis De Vries. The 6-foot-1 Dominican possesses plus hit, power, and run tools, giving him the profile of a future multi-category fantasy producer, and he should be stashed away in dynasty leagues.

Chicago Cubs outfielder
Pete Crow-Armstrong (knee) gave a thumbs up in the clubhouse at Wrigley Field, a sign that he's not too worried about a right-knee injury that he suffered in Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals, according to Patrick Mooney of The Athletic. However, the Cubs are playing it safe with their All-Star center fielder and could keep him out a second straight game in Monday's series opener at the Atlanta Braves. The 23-year-old fouled a ball off his kneecap on Saturday and had to leave early. "PCA came in actually feeling pretty good," manager Craig Counsell said before Sunday's loss. "He's still a little sore today, but we're going to get him moving around today, which is a good sign. We'll see how that feels." While Crow-Armstrong might sit on Monday, he doesn't appear to be in danger of going on the injured list.

San Diego Padres right-hander
Michael King (knee) is expected to return from the 15-day injured list and start on Tuesday versus the visiting Cincinnati Reds at Petco Park, according to Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune. It would give King four starts before a potential postseason appearance for the Friars, which the Padres think is sufficient ramp-up for King to give them what they need in October. While King will be extra risky in starting fantasy lineups on Tuesday in his first start back, he'll also be lined up for a two-start week with a second appearance coming against the last-place Colorado Rockies on Sunday at home. The 30-year-old has made just one start since late May after also missing extended time with a right-shoulder injury. King was SD's best pitcher to close out last year, but he'll be a wild card upon his return given his injury-plagued 2025 campaign.

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop prospect
Aidan Miller is headed to Triple-A Lehigh Valley following a productive campaign at Double-A this year. The Phils' second-ranked prospect started off slow, hitting just .217 through his first 77 games, although he still managed to hit eight home runs, draw walks at a 14.2 percent rate, and steal 37 bases during that time. However, in the last 31 games, he's hit .361 with five home runs, logged a 25:25 BB:K, and stolen 15 additional bases. In all, the 21-year-old finishes his Double-A season with a .259/.382/.427 slash line with 13 home runs and 52 steals in 108 games. The former first-round draft pick could be in line for a late-season call-up in 2026, and the 6-foot-1 slugger should already be stashed away in dynasty formats.

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Scott Lauber reports that Philadelphia Phillies shortstop
Trea Turner (hamstring) is headed for an MRI exam on his right hamstring on Monday after he left in the seventh inning of Sunday's loss to the Miami Marlins with a hamstring strain. Either way, Turner probably will not play in Monday's series opener against the division-rival New York Mets, and fantasy managers should be well prepared for the 32-year-old veteran to land on the injured list. If Turner needs to go on the IL, there's a chance we may not see him again until the playoffs in October, which would obviously be terrible news for fantasy managers still playing for a title. If Turner must miss extended time,
Edmundo Sosa is the top candidate to take over everyday duties at the 6 in Philadelphia.

Cleveland Guardians left-hander
John Means (elbow) didn't fare too well in his fifth minor-league rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A Columbus, giving up five earned runs on six hits while waking two and striking out three in 4 1/3 innings of work. He threw 46 of his 72 pitches for strikes in the outing. Means had his fifth rehab start pushed back from Friday to Sunday because of an illness, and perhaps he still wasn't feeling all that great. The good news is that the 32-year-old southpaw was extended out to 72 pitches. However, it's expected that he'll need at least one more rehab start before the Guardians consider activating him for what will be his 2025 debut in the big leagues. Given the time of year, fantasy managers will not be able to consider Means a realistic option when he makes his debut with Cleveland, and he won't even be guaranteed a starting role.

Pete Crow-Armstrong (knee) has not been confirmed for Monday's lineup against the Atlanta Braves, as manager Craig Counsell will re-evaluate his status on Monday before the game. Crow-Armstrong is day-to-day with a right-knee contusion after fouling a ball off his kneecap on Saturday. The 23-year-old started the season hot but has cooled off in recent weeks, slashing .160/.216/.230 in August. A short break could benefit the young outfielder, giving him a chance to reset and rediscover his swing as the Cubs aim for a deep October run.

Framber Valdez had his turn in the rotation pushed up to Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. The Astros decided to scratch
Luis Garcia who was going to start this game, and give the ball to Valdez. The southpaw wasn't great on the mound, but the biggest blow was a two-run home run by
Jake Burger in the sixth inning. He tossed seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out five batters in the loss. Valdez has been inconsistent on the mound lately, so fantasy managers will take this performance even if it wasn't an elite outing.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher
Jacob Misiorowski looked outstanding on the mound during Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Coming into this start, Misiorowski had struggled lately with three earned runs or more in each of his last four starts. The rookie right-hander was able to bounce back nicely on Sunday. He tossed seven innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out eight batters in the win. The hope is that this will help him get back on track down the stretch of the season. The upside alone makes Misiorowski worth rostering in most fantasy formats. His next start will come against the St. Louis Cardinals next weekend.
