Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (rib) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres. Unsurprisingly, Bohm will take a seat after exiting early on Saturday due to a bruised left rib cage. This is the final game before the All-Star break, so it's not shocking to see the Phillies giving Bohm the day off. The hope is that he'll be ready to go following the break. In the meantime, Edmundo Sosa will bat eighth and play third base versus right-hander Nick Pivetta on Sunday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Oneil Cruz (hip) is absent from the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Twins. The Pirates will hold Cruz out of this contest after he exited on Saturday due to a hip flexor issue. The assumption is that the Pirates are just taking the cautious approach with this being the final game before the All-Star break. Jack Suwinski will cover center field and bat sixth during Sunday's game. The hope is that Cruz can still participate in the Home Run Derby, but that decision will likely be made closer to the event.--Andy WebbSource: mlb

Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams (undisclosed) has been scratched from the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. There is no word on why Abrams is being pulled from the lineup, but there should be more information shortly. This is the final game before the All-Star break, so hopefully Abrams will be fine to play after the break. In the meantime, Paul DeJong will cover shortstop and bat cleanup versus right-hander Freddy Peralta on Sunday. Fantasy managers should adjust their lineups ahead of first pitch.--Andy WebbSource: mlb.com

The San Diego Padres have placed first baseman/outfielder Gavin Sheets on the paternity list before their contest on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies. In a corresponding move, the Padres promoted catcher Luis Campusano from Triple-A El Paso to take his spot on the roster. Sheets has enjoyed a productive debut campaign in San Diego and is on pace to enjoy a career season. Through 92 contests, the Wake Foret product has posted a .265/.324/.451 slash line with 14 long balls. Under the hood, Sheets has generated an elite .364 xwOBA, .288 xBA, .501 xSLG, and a 42.1% hard-hit rate, all of which are well above the average marks among qualified hitters. While Sheets is held out of action, fantasy managers should expect Bryce Johnson and Tyler Wade to see time in left field.--Andy SmithSource: San Diego Padres

The Athletics have activated infielder Luis Urias (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list before their contest on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays. In a corresponding move, the Athletics optioned second baseman Zack Gelof to Triple-A Las Vegas. Urias suffered this injury on July 2 but was able to make a quick return to the starting nine. Before his injury, Urias was carrying a .227/.244/.227 line with just 10 total hits (all singles) across his last 12 games. Gelof made his season debut earlier in July but has posted an underwhelming .080/.143/.080 line with a .223 OPS through eight games. Fantasy managers should expect Urias to see most of the opportunities at the keystone during the second half. With Urias returning, this could also limit Max Muncy's starting opportunities as well.--Andy SmithSource: A's Communications

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Lars Nootbaar (ribs) was placed on the 10-day injured list before their contest on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves. Katie Woo of The Athletic reported that this is the same injury that has bothered Nootbaar for the past few weeks. Nootbaar was lifted from Saturday's game due to discomfort. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during the All-Star break. Since the start of the month, the outfielder has posted a modest .219/.306/.375 with two doubles and one home run. Overall, he sits with a .227/.332/.381 line and a below-average .330 xwOBA. This afternoon, the Cardinals will give Jose Fermin the starting nod in left field. While he remains sidelined, Fermin, Brendan Donovan, and Alec Burleson should see most of the opportunities in left field.--Andy SmithSource: Katie Woo

Colorado Rockies infielder Thairo Estrada (thumb) remains out of the starting nine on Sunday when the Rockies conclude a series against the Cincinnati Reds. Estrada has been dealing with a thumb injury since July 7. This is Estrada's fifth-straight sitting out. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as the Rockies may opt to place him on the injured list after the All-Star break. Estrada also missed time earlier this season due to a fractured wrist. However, when on the field, he has been very productive. Through 29 games, Estrada has held a .284/.312/.397 slash line with seven doubles, two home runs, and one stolen base. This afternoon, the veteran infielder Kyle Farmer is slated to cover the keystone. The Rockies are worth a look in DFS facing Cincinnati right-hander Nick Martinez.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Texas Rangers infielder Jake Burger (quadriceps) has been scratched from Sunday's lineup. Burger was initially expected to rejoin the starting nine on Sunday after sitting out on Saturday with a quadriceps injury. However, the team will opt to exercise caution and keep him out for the final game of the first half. Instead, Alejandro Osuna will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the eight hole. Following a rough start to his tenure in Texas, Burger has begun to turn the corner at the plate. Over his last eight games, the slugger has posted a strong .323/.344/.452 slash line with one double and one home run. Under the hood, he holds a .467 xSLG, 13.4% barrel rate, and a 48.3% hard-hit rate, which suggests he should continue to enjoy a power surge in the second half. The Rangers are best to fade in DFS facing Houston right-hander Hunter Brown.--Andy SmithSource: Evan Grant

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Ivan Herrera (hamstring) has been activated off the 10-day injured list and is in Sunday's lineup when they conclude a series against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday afternoon. The backstop has been out of action with a Grade 2 hamstring strain since June 20. While Herrera was not expected to return until the second half of the season, the Cardinals opted to give him the nod in the game before the All-Star break. This afternoon, he is serving as the designated hitter and batting in the two-hole. Throughout most of the first half, Herrera has seen time as a DH and not behind the plate due to his struggles defensively. However, in the batter's box, he has been very effective, boasting a .320/.392/.533 line. He is a solid option in DFS facing Atlanta starter Davis Daniel.--Andy SmithSource: MLB.com

Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood will head to the bench for Sunday's series finale on the road in Milwaukee versus Brewers right-hander Freddy Peralta. Alex Call draws into the starting lineup in left field and will hit second against Peralta. The Nats will give Wood a day off heading into next week's All-Star break after he started in 174 straight games since joining the big-league roster. It makes sense, as the 22-year-old left-handed slugger will take part in the Home Run Derby and the All-Star game this coming week. The former second-rounder is one of the best young hitters in the game, but he's also gone hitless in his last three games and is batting .244 (10-for-41) with two home runs, five RBI, seven runs and a steal in 11 games in the month of July. Call has only faced Peralta once in his career and has only two homers in 175 at-bats in 2025.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Andrew Vaughn is getting the day off in Sunday's series finale against the visiting Washington Nationals at American Family Field. Jake Bauers will make the start at first base and will bat sixth against Nationals right-hander Jake Irvin. After flaming out with the Chicago White Sox as a former first-round pick, the Brewers traded for Vaughn this year, and he's taken full advantage of his opportunities in Milwaukee with Rhys Hoskins (thumb) on the injured list. In just five games with the Brew Crew, the 27-year-old right-handed hitter has gone 6-for-14 with two home runs, two doubles, 10 RBI and three runs scored. He went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI in Saturday's victory over Washington. Vaughn should continue to get chances at first base in Milwaukee, at least until Hoskins recovers from his thumb ailment.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

Boston Red Sox infielder/outfielder Ceddanne Rafaela is starting in center field and is batting sixth on Sunday in the series finale against the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays and right-hander Ryan Pepiot at Fenway Park. Rafaela, who has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball for a while now, played second for the first time this year and hit out of the two-hole on Saturday with third baseman Alex Bregman resting. The 24-year-old hit a walk-off homer in the ninth on Friday night and is currently in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak in which he's batting .429 (15-for-35) with four home runs, six doubles, 13 RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases in 36 plate appearances. Not only is Rafaela one of the hottest hitters in the game right now, but he's hit .364 with two RBI in 11 career at-bats against Pepiot. Keep him in your starting lineups.--Keith HernandezSource: MLB.com

The Atlanta Braves have recalled right-handed pitcher Davis Daniel from Triple-A Gwinnett, according to the team. Daniel is scheduled to start on Sunday for the Braves against the St. Louis Cardinals. The 28-year-old has pitched just one inning in the majors for Atlanta in 2025, but he's logged 76 2/3 innings (14 starts) at Triple-A. He's 5-7 with a 3.52 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and an unimpressive 8.8% K-BB% in the minors. The Braves optioned lefty reliever Austin Cox to Triple-A as the corresponding move for recalling Daniel.--Will BradySource: Atlanta Braves
