Brandon Marsh Back in Left Field on Wednesday
Brandon Marsh (illness) is feeling better and is starting in left field and batting fifth on Wednesday against the division-rival New York Mets and right-hander Clay Holmes. Marsh will return to the fold at Citizens Bank Park after missing the last two games with an illness. Fantasy managers will be hoping that the 27-year-old left-handed hitter can pick up right where he left off at the plate after going 10-for-19 with four extra-base hits in five games in September. He has limited experience against Holmes, though, going hitless in just one career at-bat against him. Marsh has been much better against right-handers this year, going 81-for-268 (.302) with eight of his nine home runs against them and 28 RBI in 299 plate appearances. He's been afforded only 73 plate appearances against southpaws.
