Kevin McGonigle Set to Participate in Arizona Fall League
Kevin McGonigle highlights a crew of seven that the team will send to the Arizona Fall League (AFL) in October, playing for the Scottsdale Scorpions. The Tigers' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 2) seemingly cruised through the regular season, slashing .301/.408/.566 in 84 games across various levels, but lost in all that could be that he missed a lot of time in 2024 due to injury (74 games played) and missed a month at the beginning of this year due to injury, so the 21-year-old will be able to get some extra reps in the AFL to make up for lost time. There's a chance he's in the big leagues at some point next year, too, and can use this time to prepare. Regardless, the left-handed slugger has some of the best bat-to-ball skills in the minors and should be stashed away in dynasty formats.
