Orioles Acquire Ryan O'Hearn From Royals
Ryan O'Hearn from the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday in exchange for cash considerations. O'Hearn heads to the American League East division after four seasons with the Royals in which he hit .219/.293/.390 with a .683 OPS, 38 home runs, 131 RBI, 99 runs scored and 287 strikeouts in 1,071 plate appearances over 342 games played. After hitting 26 long balls in his first two big-league seasons, O'Hearn has managed 12 home runs in the last three campaigns. He hit .239/.290/.321 with one homer, 16 RBI and 14 runs in 67 games last season before he was designated for assignment this offseason. The 29-year-old left-handed first baseman will give the O's some left-handed power depth entering the 2023 season.
